Good Evening,
The internet is probably the greatest invention in the history of mankind.
It has given you access to the whole of human knowledge, all from a device you carry in your pocket.
Even as recently as 30 years ago it could take days, weeks, or months to get what we can now get from a simple Google search.
With that comes some massive downside though.
Everyone has an opinion on everything, and everyone shares every opinion.
When you are trying to learn something, that can lead to information overload… meaning that you have so much information on the same topic, some of it conflicting, that you end up dabbling, getting confused, overwhelmed, and not getting anything done.
(There are also some bad actors out there that prey on this and try to sell you more new information all the time to give you a quick fix of “new”).
I still fall into this myself at times.
This is VERY common to those in the SEO space.
They will start trying to do SEO one way, then read this blog article, or watch this YouTube video, or see something in a Facebook group and start to change direction and get frazzled and overwhelmed (I suspect someone reading this is nodding along because they see it in themselves).
The solution to this is the easiest thing in the world to say and one of the hardest to implement.
Pick one thing, and have the discipline to stick with it.
Whatever your business path may be you just need to find someone that has a proven track record of not only success, but of successfully teaching others to succeed, then figure out (or pay for the information on) what they are doing and stick with it, and only it, until you get to where you want to be.
Tune out all the noise. Ignore everyone else, every new thing etc… and just go all-in on that person or technique.
That’s the cure for information overload.
That’s how you avoid getting overwhelmed and not achieving anything.
That is how you Profiit.
