No matter who you are, it is very unlikely I will ever “jump on a call” with you.

Especially if I don’t know you.

“Jump on a call” and similar phrases almost always come from unskilled sales people who have just taken a Consulting course but are too lazy to adapt it to themselves or their own personality.

They have no shot at ever getting me on the phone/skype/whatever…

…however if they were to take the information they got from their introductory level Consulting course and:

Learn about how people in their target industry actually speak and think (Knowing the right terminology and tone for each niche is key)

Talk the way regular people talk (no one says shit like “What are you learning right now that’s got you excited?” “What big plans do you have for the back half of 2019?” etc… in every day conversation, you sound like a robot)

Write their own script based on the template they were (likely) given instead of being too lazy or inexperienced to write their own.

Do something, anything, to separate themselves from the literal hundreds of thousands of people doing the exact same thing they are. (Seriously, anyone on LinkedIn likely gets multiple variations of the examples in this post at least once a day)

And actually start with some information that is useful to the prospect instead of talking about themselves. (“Hi I am Bob Wehadababyitsaboy from GenericLazyConsultingAgency.io and I help businesses get 3 – 6 more new high paying clients a month like clockwork on autopilot. When can we jump on a call this week?”)

They might actually have a better shot at turning prospects into sales.

If you want to learn more about sales and pitching to a cold prospect you can schedule a time to jump on a call with me. ???
