Happy Sunday!
I am in the process of making a YouTube video at the moment. It is going to be a sequel of sorts to a video I did way back in February 2017! (Here it is if you want to check it out)
I rewatched it in preparation for making today’s video… and I was mortified.
I don’t appear on camera at all because I didn’t own a camera other than my phone at the time. My voice cracks a lot because not only did I not know how to talk on camera in a way that sounded easy to listen to, I didn’t know how to edit video very much so I did the whole thing in pretty much 1 take.
Then I looked at some videos that came after that… they were a little better but… I was wearing sunglasses indoors because I was self-conscious , using a selfie stick and my iPhone to record the intros… and my voice still sounded terrible.
But you know what… I did them anyway, and they still bring me business and Profiit to this day. See when you are starting something you are starting form zero… so it very likely whatever it is you are doing is going to be bad.
The only way you are going to slog your way through the bad part is to just get started, push through the bad parts, evaluate, improve, and keep going. “Take massive action” is a cliche in business but its true.
I made some really crummy videos, and what I make now is only marginally better…. but it is better, and if I hadn’t gotten started back then and was just starting now I wouldn’t have 3 years of assets, sales, customers, and Profiit… and I wouldn’t have improved along the way.
This applies to anything. Figure out what you want or need to do, and just get started. Have enough confidence in yourself that you can adapt to challenges as they arise. There are still things I just need to get started on, and I am willing to venture the same could be said for you.
